What is Clockflux?

Clockflux is a free work hours tracker for anyone who wants to know how much they really work. You check in when you start and check out when you stop; it adds up your days and weeks, keeps an overtime balance against your contract, and counts down your holiday allowance. It runs in your browser, installs like an app, and works offline.

No required sign-up.

Who is it for?

Employees with contracted hours who want to keep an eye on overtime, anyone on flexitime or time off in lieu, freelancers who need totals for a timesheet, and people who simply want to stop working late without noticing. It is a personal tracker: there is no manager view, and nobody else sees your hours.

What does it keep track of?

  • Your hours: each day’s total and the week’s, in decimal hours or h:mm, against your weekly target. Tracking your hours
  • Your month: a calendar of the days you worked and took off, where you can fix a forgotten check-out or mark a week of holiday at once. Calendar and days off
  • Your holiday: the days you have earned, used and have left, prorated if you started mid-year. Holiday allowance
  • Your balance: whether recent weeks are on track, under or over, and a running overtime total. Overtime and work/life balance

Does it need an account or a connection?

No. The free version keeps everything in your browser’s storage on your own device and never sends it anywhere, so it works with no internet connection. You can install it on a phone, tablet or computer, and keep a backup file in case you clear your browser. See offline use, installing and backups.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Tracking, the calendar, holiday allowance and the Health view are free with no time limit, and nothing free moves behind a paywall later.

Clockflux Pro

An optional subscription that adds:

  • Cloud sync across every device you use Clockflux on
  • Custom light and dark themes
  • Holiday carryover into the new year
  • CSV, PDF, and calendar (.ics) export
  • Unlimited history, with nothing archived or trimmed
  • A custom daily target instead of the default 8 hours
  • Task tracking: hours per task, client or project
  • AI assistants: ask Claude, Cursor or Codex about your hours, and check in from a chat
  • A weekly summary email of your hours and overtime, every Sunday evening

Pro needs an account, so signing in and syncing means some of your data reaches our servers. See the privacy notice for exactly what. It renews until you cancel, you can cancel it yourself at any time from Settings, and you can delete your account (and everything we hold for you) from there too. See pricing and full terms, or everything Pro adds.
