Weekly overtime calculator
Enter the hours you worked each day. Days off and half days come off your target automatically.
How the calculation works
Your weekly target is your daily hours multiplied by your working days. A day off takes a full day out of the target and a half day takes half — with an 8-hour day, a week with a public holiday has a 32-hour target, not 40. Overtime is what you worked minus that target; a negative result is time you owe.
The on-track band is the one Clockflux uses: up to 12.5% over target — 40 to 45 hours on a standard week — is treated as normal; beyond that, it’s overtime worth keeping an eye on. For the full method, with examples, see how to calculate overtime.
Tracking it week after week
One week is easy to add up by hand; a year of them is not. Clockflux records your hours as you go and keeps a running overtime balance across every week, so you always know where you stand — see overtime and work/life balance.
This calculator is a guide to your hours, not legal or payroll advice: how overtime is paid or compensated depends on your contract and local law.
